The Printed in Kettering story has been created around his songs to showcase his wonderful talent. The story is set in the UK around 1985. The action takes place in the offices of the fictional Kettering Gazette, a small town provincial newspaper. Kettering town’s shoe manufacturing industry is dying and the newspaper owner wishes to avoid his newspaper going the same way. 

He plans to save the newspaper by adopting new printing technology. This is strongly resisted by his printers and their union. A confrontation follows and the very survival of the newspaper is in doubt until a mysterious man arrives with a suitcase full of money.

The premier performance is in The Victoria Hall Theatre, Oundle, Northants
